Smart Balance
Due to the trading aspect, the behavior of balance movements on 4casters is distinct from that of a traditional sportsbook. Here are some key points to note for clarity and understanding:
Balance Adjustments Upon Bets and Offers: Initially, when you place a bet or submit an offer, your Balance figure remains unchanged. It is only after the conclusion of a game that your balance will be updated to reflect the outcome.
Dynamic Calculation of Available Balance: Your available balance is dynamically calculated, taking into account the worst-case scenario for each game. This calculation is pertinent to prematch scenarios, as currently, live events and prematch are treated as separate entities.
Worst-Case Scenario Example: For instance, consider a match where the Dolphins are listed as +3-110 against the Chiefs. If you place a bet on the Chiefs Moneyline (ML) at -150 with $150 to win $100, and simultaneously bet on the Dolphins spread at +3 110 to win $100, your available balance would be reduced by only $50. This deduction reflects the worst-case outcome, where a Dolphins' straight-up win would result in a $50 loss for you.
Impact on Available Balance by Making Offers: When you make an offer, your available balance remains unaffected. For example, with an available balance of $100, you are able to make multiple $100 offers. Once one offer is fully accepted, all other pending offers are automatically withdrawn. Similarly, if an offer of yours is partially acceptedβfor instance, $50βthen the value of all remaining offers will be adjusted to $50 accordingly.
